Love Hurts, Sung by Keith Richards and Norah Jones from the Gram Parsons Tribute Concert.

Keith Richards makes me happy. Ok, so it is probably a good thing that he let Mick do the singing, but you can’t accuse him of being insincere, or lacking heart, and heart is always what has made a good song. This Gram Parsons song is a bleeding heart beauty, made all the more lovely by being sung by Gram’s old friend, Keef, and the lovely Norah Jones. It is just one of those performances which make you feel happy and warm inside, a real thing of beauty.

Goodnight!

I actually had a Gram Parsons moment earlier today–I was trying to download a torrent file of The Byrds’ “Sweetheart of the Rodeo”, on which he guested. The download didn’t work, but I can get the whole thing on YouTube Music as long as I’m online–or temporarily download it to my phone. I have it on vinyl but it’s stashed away in storage.

Keef and Cheryl Crow doing Happy together was awful- Cheryl didnt want him to put his arm around her…or to share a microphone with him…he was crushed. I wonder if he had had garlic before going onstage.
